Duo Amadeus - Germany/Canada
Dale Kavanagh (Canada) and Thomas Kirchhoff (Germany) have been playing together since 1991 and have given more than 750 concerts in more than 40 countries around the world including North, Central and South America as well as Asia.
Next to their duo appearance, they frequently perform with well known orchestras like the Prague, Munich and Mannheimer Chamber Orchestra. Twelve critically acclaimed records (Haenssler-Classic, FONO) and regular radio and television broadcasts (BBC, CBC, ZDF, WDR, TRT, RTL et al.) in various countries certify the high quality of the Amadeus Guitar Duo. Prominent Composers have dedicated original compositions to Dale Kavanagh and Thomas Kirchhoff. Among them are concertos for two guitars and large orchestra by Roland Dyens, Carlo Domeniconi, Jaime Zenamon and Gerald Garcia and many compositions for two guitars. This season they are invited to perform at festivals in China, USA, Canada, Brazil, Thailand, England, Austria, Turkey, Poland and Romania. Dale Kavanagh and Thomas Kirchhoff are both teaching at the University of Music in Detmold. They play exclusively D’Addario Strings and guitars made by Stephen Connor, USA. www.amadeusduo.com |
