Johannes Tappert - Germany

Johannes Tappert was a member of the Würzburg Guitar Trio for nine years. Since then he has played concerts with orchestra and string quartet, playing flute, viola and guitar, oboe and guitar, as well as in guitar duos and trios and accompanying singers and instrumentalists.

Johannes Tappert received his first guitar instruction with Gerhard Vogt in Schweinfurt and studied under Professor Dieter Kreidler in Wuppertal and Professor Hans Michael Koch in Hannover. Johannes Tappert played in radio, television and CD recordings in guitar duos and trios , in duo for oboe and flute, with an orchestra and as a soloist. He taught at the Technical High School for music in Bad  Königshofen (at the same time from 1981 to 1999 at the Würzburg Conservatory and from 2001 to 2006 as a guest professor for instrumental pedagogy at the University of the Arts in Bremen). He also leads seminars, is a competition judge and a publisher of guitar literature.
